Serve the Servant
NATURAL WINE. Vegan-friendly
Area: Saint Pargoire, Languedoc-Roussillon
Grape: Servant (harvested by hand)
Alcohol: 12,5% VOL.
“Serve the Servant” is made from a “forgotten grape”, “Servant”, which is a thick-skinned grape that gives an aromatic wine with a nose of quince and ripe fruit. Honey notes also appear in the taste. Very delicate wine. The grape variety develops special qualities that give oxidative notes with a salty finish.
“Servant” is an edible grape from the “old days”, where the grapes were harvested very late and stored and dried and used as dessert for Christmas.
Serve the Servant works well with salads, seafood, white meats, and slightly fatty cheeses. It can also be enjoyed for fruit desserts.
Domaine Mylène Bru started in 2008, when Mylène Bru bought 4 hectares of vines. Here she stood without water, electricity and had overall very difficult conditions for producing wine. Mylène is a trained oenologist, and she really knows what she is doing. Her wines are not experiments she sends to the market. Everything is done deliberately. She produces top natural wines with a fascinating personality and passion. Mylène’s wines express nature, authenticity, daring and honesty. Her wines are enjoyed at several Michelin restaurants in France, and the French icon actress Catherine Deneuve is among Mylène’s fans.
