“Far-Ouest” which in English / French means “The Wild West” reflects Mylène’s enthusiasm for film and for Clint Eastwood’s “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”. The wine has a nature that reminds us of the vast expanses and the conquest of a wild land. The wine has an intense color, where the aroma of “garrigue” and ripe fruit mix with aromas of pepper and camphor. Far-Ouest is a very delicate, racy Mediterranean wine wrapped in rounded tannins. The wine is stored in steel tanks between 15-18 months.
Far-Ouest goes well with grilled vegetable antipasti, grilled entrecote, roasted duck breast or other meat dishes. The wine also works well with cheese.
Domaine Mylène Bru started in 2008, when Mylène Bru bought 4 hectares of vines. Here she stood without water, electricity and had overall very difficult conditions for producing wine. Mylène is a trained oenologist, and she really knows what she is doing. Her wines are not experiments she sends to the market. Everything is done deliberately. She produces top natural wines with a fascinating personality and passion. Mylène’s wines express nature, authenticity, daring and honesty. Her wines are enjoyed at several Michelin restaurants in France, and the French icon actress Catherine Deneuve is among Mylène’s fans.
