A rare white wine. In the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation only 2-5% is white wine.
Grapes: 50% Grenache Blanc, 30% Clairette, 10% Bourboulenc & 10% Roussanne (harvested by hand)
Alcohol: 14% VOL.
The wine has a golden color with aroma and taste of flowers, pear, white fruit, and almond. The wine is fresh, fruity, and mineral with a creamy character, which gives a long aftertaste.
The wine is good for fish in sauce, poultry, carpaccio, cheese, and white meat in sauce.
Domaine de la Palud is in the south of the town of Orange in the Rhône area. Marie-Laure Grangeon produces top wines with “know-how” handed down from her ancestors. Domaine de la Palud has been the family property since 1841 and prior to that the vineyard belonged to a Provencal noble family for five centuries. On the vineyard there is still a building (a tower) dating back to the 14th century.
Marie-Laure Grageon’s wines are splendid examples of what the Châteauneuf-du-Pape district and the Côtes du Rhône have to offer.
