“La Girafe Verte” (The Green Giraffe) is Château Barbanau’s declaration of love for nature. Here, the focus is on resource consumption by being bottled in relatively thin recycled glass, capsule and stopper in recycled material and packed in boxes of recycled cardboard fibers.
La Girafe Verte is like a Provence rosé to taste. Summer fragrant with a lovely taste of citrus, peach, and apricot.
La Girafe Verte is good as an apéritif and for snacks, salad dishes and fish dishes.
Château Barbanau is in the heart of the Côtes de Provence in the sunny Mediterranean climate. It all started around 1889, when Sophie’s great-grandfather chose to become a winemaker.
Since making her first wine back in 1989, Sophie Simonini has worked to preserve Barbanau’s history. She loves South Africa and has spent a lot of time with her husband there. Sophie loves nature photography, and her husband has a keen interest in ornithology. The spirit of the family symbolizes love and respect for nature, the terroir and for the art of making quality wines.
