Grand Cru Moenchberg Riesling
Alsace
ORGANIC & BIODYNAMIC. Vegan-friendly
Area: Gertwiller, Alsace
Grape: 100% Riesling (harvested by hand)
Alcohol: 14.5% VOL.
The wine comes from the “Moenchberg field”, and the terroir unfolds fully. Gentle vinification and carefully selected time for optimal bottling. The wine is aged 2-3 years before release. It is a wine that can last up to 15 years. The name “Moenchberg” dates to the 11th century when the monastery gave the name “Cru”.
The label is in pastel colors that symbolize the lightness and the elegant touch. The points on the label form a full moon or globe (depending on how one interprets), and this helps to express that the wine has great range and complexity.
The wine has a light-yellow color with green tones. Strong minerality with aromas of white fruits, pear, peach, and citrus. A completely clean and delicate fruity structure. A mature and very successful Riesling.
The wine goes superbly as an apéritif, and especially for fish and white meat.
